Have you ever wondered about your ancient genetic ancestry and how it connects you to different regions around the world? This is what genetic tests are designed to do using your DNA and some reference populations. Of course, not all DNA tests are alike and not all reference populations are the same, it all depends on your question.

In early 2021, I released the Bronze
Age Test
on the Gene Plaza’s platform. You can read about the test here. You can look at the preview
of the test here.
The feedback about the test has been excellent, and I have been dreaming about
expanding this test series to other eras, but the ancient DNA data were not
available – until now!

With data from over 60 ancient people from Afro-EurAsia, I developed the Stone Age. This is the first public DNA test based solely on the DNA of Stone Age people, which was designed to tell you what part of Stone Age ancestries survived into your DNA

As with the Bronze Age test, the Stone Age test consists of two versions, Beginner and Advanced. The Beginner version compares your genome to 10 SA cultures with low resolution (5 gene pools), and the Advanced provides comparisons to 22 SA cultures with high resolution (8 gene pools).

The Bronze Age test was probably the first DNA test developed solely based on the DNA of ancient humans (excluding the Neanderthal tests, which are not considered humans). The test includes historical, archeological, and genetic information for every culture and gene pool.

I hope that this trend of ancient DNA tests will continue. I find the focus
of companies on modern DNA tests extremely limited. I am sure that a lot of
people are interested in their ancient rather than modern origins.

Are you ready to find out where your ancestors hunted Mammoths?
